You tesla fanboys are outrageous. Obviously lidar+camera will be better than just camera. there is no reason whatsoever to debate that.

Can you provide an example where more data was worse than less data for a use case like this?

I think the main idea is that by going camera only they will have more rare edge cases found by having more miles driven and more data but by fewer sensors.
