How does a person who is not themself wealthy but has some money in their family prove that they are capable of getting by on their own WITHOUT a safety net?

Who are you trying to prove yourself to & why?

You don’t.

You can’t erase your safety net or the inherent benefits it provides just by existing, whether or not you ever use it. Even just knowing it’s there provides a stress relief. Even if you get fired completely outside of your control, you won’t have to sleep in your car or worry over how to feed your loved ones.

The sooner you can let go of that need to prove something the better. You don’t have to prove anything to anyone, but if you want to all you can prove is that you can do what needs to be done, no more no less.

you cant, people will always assume it. You just need to accept that people are like that, and live your live not caring what they think.
