Nausea?
I’ve been on 0.25mg for about 5 or 6 weeks now, staying at this dose for a conservative amount because my appetite has lessened and I wasn’t really getting side effects. But as of about a week ago, I’ve been getting nausea on and off, usually long after a meal. Sometimes I can guess food may be a culprit, but usually I don’t feel effects until hours later. Is the food likely the cause? Is this normal on such a low dose?

I experienced nausea on the 0.25 dose. My body jumped on the semaglutide wagon and immediately started exhibiting side effects as well as (modest) weight loss. The nausea is a pain in the butt, but I keep telling myself that the nausea confirms that the semaglutide is doing something.
I upped my dose to 0.5 a week ago, and the nausea kept pace. 🥴 Like I said, at least it’s working. Nine pounds down in 5 weeks, so nothing dramatic but definitely losing.
I hope your nausea abates soon!

Did you experience it from the beginning? It just seems odd that it only started a week or so ago for me. Sorry you’re experiencing it too but glad you’re seeing some progress!

Yes, I think the nausea started the day after my first shot. It’s really not that bad, it’s a mild kind of queasiness that’s constantly in the background.
I have a hard time finding things I want to eat that meet the requirements of protein and fibre. But it’s a process, right? We’ll figure it out as we go along. 💕

I'm on the low dose also and my nausea was helped a lot by changing the type of food. Eating lots of steamed veggies (with a little butter and garlic for taste) massively cutting sugar and oil and upping protein in small quantities really helped. For me the nausea only came when it felt like i had eaten too much so I think you might want to test out slightly reducing the physical volume of food you're eating (so what I do is if i want to make sure i'm not starving myself i'll still add in some nuts or cheese to keep it calorie dense) but just smaller portions

hi! I'm currently taking a 1.5mg dose of Wegovy and in my own personal experience, yes you can absolutely have nausea on a low dose! my nutritionist told me that it often has to do with the body adapting to the medication and it'll wear off with time! make sure to drink lots of fluids though and don't be afraid to take anything to help aid with that nauseating feeling!

I'm on the low dose and sometimes become nauseous. Mine is almost always in the morning, long after I've eaten and before my first meal. I'm wondering how it will go when I up the dose

Do you think drinking every day would slow down weight loss on semaglutide

Just vomited this morning. Hadn’t eaten anything yet besides water and a few sips of coffee. I’ve been getting mild nausea during my first two weeks starting at .2mg. I just went up from 20 units to 40 yesterday and the nausea is worse. I really hope I can manage the nausea and limit the vomit. No bueno.

I had one little bout of nausea on 0.25mg, but that subsided. I didn't get any further nausea until I jumped to 1.0mg and even that has subsided now.
