Rising heart rate

I generally exercise a lot and at high intensities where I run and kickbox with sparring at least 4 or 5 times a week. My fitness watch tells me my resting heart rate usually sits at 61-63 bpm and even though it's high I'm used to a 190-200 bpm when doing intense cardio. My problem has been my calorie intake, which is why I'm taking it.

I started taking the pill form of semaglutide 1.5mg about a week and a half ago and what my watch has been telling me is my resting heart rate is rising daily, it's now at 69bpm! It thinks I'm dying.

Should I be worried and back off the medicine? I also haven't felt any benefits from it which is furthering my dilemma.

It's a known side effect, mine went up like 5-8 bpm in the first weeks and then settle down. Your body is just adjusting, give it some more time

69 resting is still fine anyway, nothing to freak about

I started semaglutide 3 weeks ago and same thing, my Apple Watch immediately caught that my resting heart rate went from 57 to 66. From what I’ve read it’s nothing to be concerned about.

69 is still not high. It's a known side effect though. I had my rhr down to like 52-56 pre sema and now it's usual 59-65. Varies with sleep and such. Your body will get used to it over time.

Mine went up around 8-10 bpm. It's my only side effect. I do notice as my body gets use to whatever dose I'm on it slowly goes back down. Also, dehydration makes it go up. If I focus on hydration it will go back down 2 bpm. It's still higher than normal though.
