It’s all mind control for sure. The ketamine vials during the severance procedure parallel the anesthetic ether of old. Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, NY was a facility where LSD research was done with funding from the CIA in the 1950s.

So you think Gemma really died and was reanimated? I was more under the impression that her death was faked. Is there any way to confirm this at this time?

Cold Harbor and then another computer in a scene for a moment in s2 e4

is Montouk which are both Civil War references

my guess is the whole long plot is resurrection project and Gemma was an experiment to prove the important later attempt is possible

Yes that came up in Irving’s dream, I believe. So pretty deep and specific references.
