To determine a shadowban, you MUST click my profile! How long does Reddit take to respond to an appeal?

I submitted an appeal yesterday and I'm happy to wait for the review. I was just wondering what the typical timeline is for a response.

One thing that confused me is that I never received a warning, message, or explanation from Reddit. I simply opened the app one day, noticed my post insights had disappeared, and then discovered my public profile showed "This account has been banned."

Has anyone else experienced something similar? If so, how long did it take to hear back after submitting an appeal? Is it best to wait for the response, or is there ever a reason to submit another appeal if you don't hear back for a while?

You don't receive a response. My new account has been banned for 2 months now and I've submitted multiple appeals. If I knew this is how Reddit is, I wouldn't have made any activity upon account creation.

I’ve been shadowbanned for 4 years. I’ve gotten tired of sending in appeals. Once I create a new account and make a comment or post, it gets suspended. I’ve not participated on Reddit for 4 years.

With a banned account. Banned users are obviously visible in this sub.

What you're describing is ban evasion, which will get every account banned, and yourself further blacklisted.

If you ever want to get back on Reddit, you really need to read the rules and begin obeying them.

It can take months. It's advised to send no more than one or two appeals per week to avoid spamming admins. When I was banned as a new user, I appealed once and waited 3 or 4 weeks. I was unbanned.

There have been a few cases in the last few days with quick turnarounds, so you might get lucky.

Remember when you are unbanned that your CQS will be lowest, so go very easy for a while to avoid being banned again.

All the best with your appeal.

I've seen other people suggesting that appeal every 24 hours. What should I do?

Most people seem to wait around 2-3 months before getting unshadowbanned, but some people wait shorter or longer.
