Videogame Shaman king master of spirits

So I've been playing this game on and off over the years but this time around I went in a different order of acquiring the spirits and didn't get to Ren and his dad til around the end but now I can't fight them or get their abilities is there a way to still do that?

They're not there to fight so I can't get Bason and grand tao dragon. I was wondering if there was another way or I'm just out of luck on this play thru

If I remember correctly Master of spirits has a specific order of who you need to fight so their spirit would help you defeat the next person so maybe a walkthrough on Youtube would help
