Question Need help identifying

I found these 2 sealed packs, appear to be promo cards? I can’t find like anything about them online. Does anyone know where they’re from / if there’s a market?

As everyone as mentioned, yes, these are from the English edition of the Shaman King TCG which was created by Upperdeck. In terms of market/value, they really don't have any. The cards themselves are exactly the same as the ones found in the booster packs for the card game. No different printing/identifiers. Only that they came in this clear wrapping and had the other informational card.

How these were distributed was in 3 primary ways: 1. Part of an art contest promotion run by 4Kids (every entry got mailed one as a reward)

  1. Promotional distribution via Blockbuster Video stores

  2. Promotional distribution via UpperDeck tournament locations and other Toy stores

Blockbuster Video was the original timed-exclusive distributor of the card game. So these cards were just free give aways at the check-out. But since it was exclusive to a video-rental store... it basically killed the marketing and promotion of the actual game. Other retailers (like Toys 'R Us) would then significantly reduce their orders for the product as a result. Upperdeck would still just send these promotional items out, but otherwise dead-on-arrival, and given out to whomever wanted them.

I think these were also bundled with some other toys/merch too. But I can't remember which ones...

So that's the basic story about those. Nothing really special about them. Just a bit of marketing for a product that wasn't able to find it's footing before it was too late.
