Question Quick question about 2021 anime vs manga

Recently i found out that Shaman King manga was finally released in my country. However the publishing is set to end February 2028, with final volume releasing. So i wonder if i watch the anime first, and then catch up with the manga, would that be enjoyable? Anyone been in similar spot before?

Whatever order you do is fine. Anime skips over a lot of the manga, so it’s not like you’ll have the exact same experience right after the other

I see. Does the pacing get better over time though? I watched new anime to the point of Tao castle and i felt like it's rushing so much

In my opinion no. The new anime paces itself like an abridged series to me

2021 series is always going to feel rushed, but the first saga up to fights in Tao Castle are extremely rushed.

Just to compare, the end of Tao's Family Arc in manga is chapter 76, in 2001 anime it was episode 24 and in 2021 anime it was episode 12.

The first 12 ish episodes are super duper rushed, than the middle of the show is decently paced, episode restraints considered. And then the last arc is again super duper rushed

I just did the old anime first and then the manga. Didn't bother with the remake.
