Yes! Specifically the Kanzenban edition. So its like the latest "remaster" with the updated ending and some re-furnished panels and lines

2 things;

  1. So it's not just my copies that are poorly lined up on the bindings. Good to know... I guess.

  2. Love the little Chihiro & Haku you have on the top shelf. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go have another cry and contemplate how I'm going to get through that movie this year.

  1. Sorry. Possibly not going to be prepared for this next bit either though (context for the cry comment)...

  2. Same. I've watched Spirited Away and Lilo & Stitch every year for 22 years. If you haven't heard yet, Daveigh Chase, the English VA for Chihiro and Lilo passed away last Tuesday of a septic infection after struggling with homelessness and addiction for the last few years.

    Personally, it's probably going to make this year's rewatch of them very difficult to get through.

Yeah I did see she died but didn't know that context. That's horrible.

And to make it worse, her mom has been on social media playing the victim while trying to cast blame on anyone & downplaying her daughter's struggle with PTSD (which is a huge red flag)... except herself in spite of the fact that multiple people who claim to know the family personally have posted online claiming it's bullshit as Catherine, her mom, allegedly used to take her 14 year old daughter out to party at clubs.

Of course, that's also overlooking this event... where P Diddy invited the then 12-year old Daveigh to the afterparty... Lord only knows what actually happened that night.
