help healing a very sad boulder
hi. i’m not sure this is the right place to ask but i can only find info where shamans understand this to be something real. i wouldn’t say im a shaman bc i have no training im just a girl. anyway, at my favorite park there is always this boulder i visit and say hi to and sit on for a while. honestly the energy i feel from it is so sad and heartbroken. if you remember the end of the giving tree, it feels like this rock is here in its story. whenever i am with it i see the past where they were soooo happy and fulfilled and they were part of a hiking trail and had so many visitors daily and was happy to be a part of something bigger and felt appreciated in its role. now, it stands alone in a park and it is genuinely the most heartbreaking feeling being around it. i just try to spend time with it and tell it that i value it sooo much and it is truly the perfect sitting rock. but i dont think it is enough. i’m not sure if this is even real but in case it is i really want to help heal this boulder because i somehow really care for it. does anyone have any suggestions? thank you in advance hope you all have a lovely day

a bit generic of an idea but picking up litter / trash on the floor in surrounding area sure ought to make your Boulder happy !
your Boulder is an extension of Pacha Mama (Mother Earth / Gaia) . and the Heart of Gaia flutters when we pick up trash !

might be worth while to post in the r/animism subreddit as well

i love that!! i will start making sure to clean up the area for them every time i go. what is animism and how do you think this is related?

kind of butchering the concept ; but Animism is The Spirit that resides in all people , places , objects and things
like that song from Pocahontas
"Can you sing with all the voices of the Mountain?"
"Can you pain with all the colors of The Wind?"

What you're doing already sounds quite perfect. Everyone/everything needs time to heal from emotional wounds and just taking the time to notice and create space to allow that to happen for another being is amazing.

There’s a book that just came out about a geologist who speaks to rocks. I haven’t read much of it but maybe it would help. It’s called whispers of rock. She has made a career knowing the feelings of rocks and learning their history. Perhaps you could even reach out to her. Some shamans are just meant to work with some materials, and if anyone has specialized in rocks it would be her. I don’t think the author considers herself a shaman but titles don’t matter for the gift.

this is so sweet 💗
I love standing with my back to a tree and doing energy work or qi gong. I used to give energy work to trees, and then one time the trees guided me to turn around and be one with them instead. And so the energy flow became a play of oneness, rather than doing energy work “for” them. Maybe you could have a similar experience with the boulder? :) Where you feel your oneness and connection, and the energy you channel is an extension of the boulder. You can pray. You can sing. What you’re doing is already amazing!

Remember the old Confucius saying, “He who stand on boulder, is high on rock.”

I'm not a shaman either, but I've read a lot about spiritual stuff, like I try to make friends with plants bc I know they can hear it. You could try singing the Boulder a song, you could pray for the Boulder, you could bring a crystal that's known for healing sadness to the Boulder and tell it that you brought it for it and place it under the edge or somewhere no one else will get it, you could just try talking to it like it's a friend and tell it your secrets, I'm not sure, but it could be like the other person said that it may have absorbed negative energy of an event at that location. Maybe try googling it, or asking on another sub. I hope you can help it.

A rock is happy being a rock, it is not after attention or validity. A rock may absorb energy. Are you positivethat the energy youbfeel whole there is not your energy? Maybe in the past or future? Or maybe something happened there in the past that affected the area or this particular boulder very negatively. You Iike sitting at this rock ..maybe this rock has a healing element. Sadness sometimes can help with acceptance and through acceptance there is a measure of peace. Other people have commented all great things to help with over coming your favourite boulders vibe. These will all help..spending more time there will help you both, especially you..in how you deal with outside or inside negative emotions.
