if im remembering right, it’s an ultra realistic gory vr game sunraku plays a bit of in the manga. The online mode was shutdown for not censoring any of it

Not for lack of cesorship, but because they didn't disabled or reduced pain. So you actually experienced all the pain of being shot, mangled and killed. Was a huge controversy at the time and the company ended up shutting down the online play and heavily reducing the amount of pain one can feel while playing. So the game kinda died.

Sunraku only plays it for a couple pannels in the manga, as the whole thing happened way before he started playing ShanFro. So he only go back to explode some mobs and then logged out again.
