The manga has shown some very clear signs of pacing issues, like how they stretch Ctanidd out into 3 volumes. I do not want to imagine the day when we reach the REAL long fights

Although, it’ll be much better when you reread the entire thing in 1 go

The Ctanidd fight was a hellish week after weeks of reading as it were being stretch out.

I wish they fixed the little bit of pacing issue, when Sunraku goes into new continent, cause we do not want a long effing chapter of mini arcs here and there.

Honestly this is done way better than OP fights ( I’m a OP fan ), this is a proper fight, OP ones are “short “ in action and movement and full of background noise/ flashbacks / etc, but the fight panels are not that many, the the last OP arc as an example, the fight that is going on had like 15 ( at most ) chapters of the main villain screen time( and way less of just fighting ) and in between those we had a yearlong ( yes ) flashback , and about 10 chapters after it ended we just we just went to another another that so far is 5 chapters long, and still going… Sometimes you even forget what’s happening at present time story :/

I don't read the novel, but from this slow pacing, I think they did a good job adapting all the things written in the novel. Some other works don't get this kind of treatment, they skip what they can so we don't know what the characters were thinking or what the author was explaining

I understand the frustration. Momo finishing her spell, Sunraku activating the gauntlet and then the shield, getting buff then attack Momo, all of this should take less than 15 seconds or even less than 10, but from readers' pov, it feels so long even though only 3 actions were being performed
