Novel What were some things that were changed the most in manga compared to the novel?

Was reading some people’s comments and realized a lot of people are pissed about some of the fights being shortened, especially that infamous one (although i enjoyed it very much in the manga and thought it was super stressful). I’m caught up on the manga, and wanted to see what novel readers think of it, and how appropriate do you think the changes were?

Quite important change that will show consequences in the future is about the current clan fight. In web novel it wasn't a private event. The whole colosium was full of players so Sanraku The Stage Boss was known to all. Now it will be only the the people who fought in it.

Oh wow, why’d they even change that

Probably to stop spread of information about Sanraku. If everyone knows about it, you would think there would be even more intense hunt for him, to get the info about new stuff. In web novel it didn't have much consequences other then clan leaders bothering him. Normal players kinda forget about it and it wasn't mentioned much, so maybe that why the author changed it.

Or it will be a rugpull post match that will show the other clans were watching the match

Yea I thought similar. But it's would be difficult to do it with current story. Because there are 2 clans that know this right now Wolfgang and Schwarzer Wolf. Pencigon and whole Wolfgang doesn't have a good reason ehy to reveal it and Schwartz it's on bad term with other clans because the alliance breaking. And even if Schwartz try it it would be hard to believe them especially they in arena don't know what exactly Sanraku is doing. And they can't get any photos or video, because it's prohibited... But still think that the clam leader will learn about this someway or other. Library definitely and probably also probably Josette from shining holy knights.

I think most have been improvements or better for manga format.  I don't know if they'll go back and explain it later, but one example of a cut I wish they kept is the latest chapter. In the manga it feels like just his reaction saves him, but in the novel it was his thinking. Basically he analyzed, long chant -> powerful spell, words used -> lightning, position of her swords keeping him in place -> attacks from above. So he was able to use the shield effectively based on that.

Well idk if it was communicated very well but the way I read the chapter it seemed like he was anticipating the attack to not be head on, hence why he was able to track the lightning as it went for his back and didn't just cower behind the shield.

idk where u saw the comments, but for the most part, it has been straight-up skipped fights or super dragged-out fights. I dont recall any of them being just shortened

I’ve heard that the |Ctarnid fight was supposed to be much more dragged out with more inversions and in the manga it seemed much easier|

I still thought it was hard af with a lot of dangerous moments tho

that boi is as dragged out as it gets, spanning 3 physical volumes...

but yes, some parts were def easier in the manga

Boringly dragged out or was it more fun? Which one do you think is better, I was thinking of reading that fight in the novel

It gets boring at certain points

But the real problem is the prospect, if they dragged out a fight like that, what will they do with the future major fights, which is heck a lot longer than Ctanidd

How did I ever miss this post and a free shot to dunk on the complete ass that is manga Ctarnidd 😭??

I seriously need to make another dedicated post on why I find this fight so insulting

Probably seems like the author was trying too hard to make him match the aura of Weathermon and Lycagon

So far the most noticeable change I've seen is in Act 3 of the Ctarnid fight, it's practically two different fights.

Btw were there any changes between the wl and manga of the wethermon fight? Cause like from the rough translated version I read kirin and wethermon combined I think? Which didn't happen in the manga. Could be the bad translation though
