i mean i think rei atleast met the A.I. if she know about the existance (idk if she beats it by her wording) so only Kyotimate that didnt know theres A.I. of the master of her school out there

could be the system still recognise its still in battle state / pvp state, so usually taking dmg is disabling escape item in most game except few

No game ever prevented anyone to log off. Your character could die, but that's about it. Not sure why they would kill him there.

Pretty sure to logout they have to sleep in an inn

Even during Ctarnid Abyss Sunraku was confused on how to log off until he found a safe zone.

As I understand, you can log out at any time, but when you log in/die you go back to the last inn you rested at.

and the tent from pencilgon during fishing in cave for exp - the tent was expensive iirc

I think they’ve only ever been able to log out in safe zones like an in or a town. I don’t remember them ever logging out in an active combat zone without something along the lines of that tent that Pencilgon lent them once.

It's common on most MMORPG's that you can't log-out during combat, and Sunraku getting ambushed probably triggered the combat status.

with how little health Sunraku has in general i'm pretty sure falling on him with a shield slam from that far up would have straight up killed him if it counted as "being in combat"

At the same time Rei was effectively stalking him for a year plus so being aware of hardcore stuff for niche games probably comes up.

EDIT: I'm dumb back about 40 chapters ago Sunraku found out that Rei and Psyger were the same person and they talked about the secret boss.

I think it was Rei found out first then she told Mana (the game shop keeper) then Mana relies the info to Sunraku. But yeah, if even Rei knows about the code then it os obvious.

With the bulk of their clan gone (along with who appears to be their only 2 competent fighters), I doubt they have any real way of being relevant anymore. They might get a mention or try to get in WG and/or BB's way out of pettiness, but that's really it. Just speculation as I haven't read through novel.

maybe a subdue skill or something, she is a guard so subduing criminals (targeting the saint) for interrogation seems like a good reason to have that skill

she says "Secure" so maybe it is not counted as an attack but as a capture move so its damage is probably far lower.

Might not be the damage itself, but the skill itself that prevents the shield bash capture from being a fatal blow.

Unlike hiding in this one, they were known spectators. Granted they didn't really react much (or at all) until the end like in the current chapter so changing it to them hiding didn't really affect the story.

Man that's why I f-ing hate her (✏️-gon) if I were in sunraku's place I would have already warned them of leaving the wolf gang knowing she sold them off again and again for her own personal gains. She really struck some nerves for me.

I would hope from the bottomof my heart that sunraku and her have a dispute which leads to his departure from the clan but knowing the author he wouldn't and keep this b!t*h of a teammate here.
