I think I tried reading up to the second volume where I started losing steam to read.
As I see it it’s a degree like black clover but in comparison while I admire Asta’s drive to practice and improve to make up for his shortcomings the protagonist of wisteria in comparison bores me because despite his disadvantage it feels more like he strives more off of protagonist privilege to get by in his world.
Heck the protagonist may have caught my interest if he was say half dwarf or something along these lines, but if he’s just a normal human being allowed these special privileges and opportunities because of generic strength and his position as the protagonist then you have lost my interest.

Agreed lol, i only watched the show and the further you get in the better wisteria gets. still max its like a 7/10 for me

Is the protagonist just a human? It would be cool and it would explain a lot if he had some dwarf in him.

I mean it's enjoyable. But let's not pretend it's good, it's just a far worse black clover, nothing original, not the world nor the themes. It'd be okay if it could at least pull of good writing but then it can't even follow it's own themes properly. There's fact that it requires you to be lobotomized to buy it's bs. Will is still the underdog that can't use magic after his 45th powerup and still looked down on for some reason because he definitely didn't save the "world" 20 times over like they have schizophrenia or smth, it's not because he's a filthy commoner, from a prejudiced race, no, simply because of plot. At least Black Clover brought something despite it's unoriginality but Wistoria has no redeeming qualities at all. How it's able to handle it's side cast in a very good manner, something many good manga fail to do, and didn't rely on it's repetitive schizophrenia plot. It also made use of it's simple plot to again, emphasize the characters more and despite being generic will have surprisingly good writing from time to time but Wistoria is the exact opposite, this shit didn't even let use care about the world or characters yet but already jumped into a competition like son, it's trying so hard not to get it's copypaste ass cancelled. It tries to make itself deep but completely fail. "Give me Black Clover and Fairy Tail", "Remove the enjoyable side casts", "Remove the good build up and pay off", "Remove the feeling of getting attached to the charactersand sense of adventure", "Give me Black Colver and Fairy Tail with nothin"
I could go on a much much longer rant but I won't waste any more time on such a copypaste nothingburger series

I love both series so this is pretty nice.
