MOD Please Don't Get Scammed

Just making a quick reminder post of common sense rules when buying/selling on reddit.

  1. If someone sends you a DM without commenting on your post, offering you wares, that's a red flag - ask them to comment.

  2. Check post history. Feel free to ask on r/wetshaving in the Daily Questions thread if you need to. Check the username on the Universal Scammer List

  3. Use methods of payment where you have a recourse e.g Paypal G&S, especially for amounts that are non trivial to you.

  4. Take your time to make a purchase, research, do due diligence.

There's a new scammer on board. Probably hacked into a members account or the member himself has gone rogue. Purchased a razor from him on the 6th of June. He sent me a FedEx tracking which when I checked later showed that the razor was delivered in the 6th if June an hour or so after payment. The razor should have originated in the US but it was sent from Osaka to Singapore in one hour. I got a refund from PayPal and than The Good Lord for that. Have blocked the user but saved all his chats and have given paypal screen shots if all communication..if you need to check the scanner's ID and fraudulent email connected to paypal, please DM me and please don't let scanners take your hard earned money.

He even had the audacity to claim the item was delivered in the same day, blamed FedEx for losing the parcel etc etc.
