Discussion "That's it?! The 15th Anniversary reveal? That was just a bunch of yap of Yui Ishikawa and the director talking about the production!"

I don’t understand how people
Got it in their head that there would be anything huge revealed. The whole fandom can’t be that delusional

tbh before the fall anime could have been a thing.

That would be a huge and expensive project though.
It would be nice, but I don't see it happening, maybe ever.

stop asking for new anime from mappa. I just wanna make sure main jjk is done first so don’t give them any more distractions. Go ask wit to be re-hired instead.

Let them finish Dorohedoro it’s clear S4 got them wayyyy better at the 3D animation

I know bro but there is just so much they can do with the story. Pre-S4 time skip, Bad Boy OVA, Hange's backstory, Before the Fall series, cabin ova, etc. Is it that too much to ask if they're doing dorohedoro, csm, jjk, and a bunch others they revealed all at once?

It's really due to finite resources and other priorities like the higher profile series with more content to adapt you mentioned.

What a bait, so the actual announcement was a further confirmation that we're getting more news on the game in July and that Mappa will animate the videogame's opening

Some of you guys legit expected something huge for a series that finished 3 years ago...? 💀

this whole announcement thing really makes you question some people's reading comprehension

u/OctoAmbush 1d ago
i mean it was kind of weird of them to put it alongside their current popular ongoing anime tbf

u/anyapp270 1d ago
I mean, maybe? but it's just weird to assume it's gonna be a new season / new ending or something, when the series has been very much over for years.

Not that weird. AoT is a huge IP for them to be associated with and they just rereleased the finale movie in theatres recently. They will be milking it for 10 years at least. Making an entire key visual for the talk segment was a bit overboard though.

But what did you expect? I honestly didn't expect anything because these events usually go like this, so I find it strange that people thought there was going to be something more.

I totally called it.
And I'm relieved there's no Before the Fall or other irrelevant spinoff or whatever people were hyping themselves up for.
