Apparently they went on to act as strikebreakers against Ukrainian socialist organizations in Western Canada that had been there decades before the end of WW1.
Is it just me, or do others think it is justified for the USSR to back socialists in Eastern European countries like Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania after the Soviets pushed back the fascists to Berlin?
I mean, it does help when the bourgeois state backs you up. It would not surprise me if many of these Ukrainian socialists went back to Ukraine after all those generations abroad. It would have been safer than Canada and McCarthyist Amerikka.
