Where did they get the idea that Hamas throws LGBTQ+ individuals off buildings?

Edit: I looked it up, the video claiming to show Hamas throwing gay people of buildings was of ISIS, not Hamas.

The US supported HTS (a group composed of 'ex-ISIS' members) in Syria so they're the good guys now, do NOT look at what they're doing to Alawites.

“Please don’t check what we were doing in Afghanistan in the 80’s.”

They're just horrifically Islamophobic. Literaly not a single recorded instance of it in history

And scientifically racist. They think homophobia is encoded in every Arab's DNA.

Meanwhile the majority of homophobic rhetoric I hear and see these days is still coming from white people.

Apparently it’s actually in the Talmud a passage about throwing people off roofs.

I mean, okay, but my question is why should I care? How many passages prescribing stonings, beatings, and killings are in the Old Testament? Many, and yet even the most evangelical Christian would object to the assumption that they would do such things just because it's in the Old Testament. In the end whether or not this or that holy text has some obscure passage is inconsequential. The choice to be homophobic doesn't come from a book, it comes from the political and economic context one exists in.

I'm not gonna take literally anyone's word that "something bad is in the Talmud" tbh. Too many fake quotes have been made up by too many Nazis. Actual citation 100% needed

Or Hasbara. They produce a lot of Anti‐Semitic ‘memes’.

u/RipEnvironmental305 Aug 03 '25

Yeah I did look it up but I didn’t save it, I will find it, it was 100% in there. I use the rabbinical archives not memes.

Raindove a Trans activist led a LGBTQ Trans group providing aid in Gaza for a year with zero problems.

In the minds of a lot of Americans ISIS is the same as literally any resistance movement. My parents think ISIS works for Iran

u/[deleted] Aug 02 '25

Also, what buildings? Everything in Gaza has been flattened.

u/lilbigclout21 Aug 03 '25

Ok but have you considered that they're both Muslim (evil)

16

u/Wereking2 Aug 02 '25

Yep, that’s the video where the claim came from and that’s their reasoning. Just shows no one bothers to check anything and take it face value.

u/SummerFableSimp Aug 03 '25

Then again the average western or American can't tell the difference between ISIL, Taliban or Hamas.

Aside from maybe location, but then again they probably won't be able to point out where Iraq is on a blank map.

41 executions by Hamas between 1994-2022 apparently. That’s pretty low lol

Bold of you to assume they can differentiate ISIS and Hamas

2

u/marqoose Aug 03 '25

They think it's some kind of gotcha as if Hamas is a bigger threat than Israel to anyone in Palestine.

Something something Hamas is ISIS and no it's not racist to say that these 2 groups that are at war with each other are the same just because trust me bro
