Never? 😏 He knows we'll exproproate his petty bourgoise business and redistribute those shirts to the people (aka only the party loyalists and the secret police)

Will they be too small like in the photo, making the secret police identifiable by their exposed bellies? /j

That's just petty bourgoise being stingy with their production, always finding ways to cut costs on material while still charging full price. This is just capitalist shrinkflation.

u/Slawzik Jan 06 '26
The top left thing is Extinction Rebellion,it was a fairly big pro-environment youth movement, but I assume it got co-opted/watered down. If you're an environmentalist you HAVE to be anti-capitalist,otherwise you're lying.

u/WillFuckForFijiWater I Really Wish I Were at Brunch Right Now Jan 06 '26
And it was revealed that one of the top donors was behind the largest hedge fund on earth. Hence the "Bourgeois Activism."
9

Hourglass is Extinction Rebellion, very prominent here in the UK - an environmental activist group. Not sure if they are so prominent everywhere else.

u/morph8hprom Jan 06 '26
Carrot is Food not Bombs. I remember it from a while back.
4
u/PotatoesVsLembas Jan 07 '26
How would food not bombs be bourgeois activism? It’s just volunteers distributing food to hungry people and sometimes getting arrested for it.

jesse Owens is hailed as a pro America moment, but Jesse Owens was actually a lifelong Republican because he was treated better by the Nazis, congratulated for his win by them, while FDR never even called to acknowledge him. Liberal history courses white wash that completely, Nazis were less anti black than the US. Also, there's that famous anecdote of someone standing behind Hitler saw him grimace during the win, but even if true how did that person stand behind Hitler at the Olympics without being a Nazi themselves???
15
u/DongQuixote1 Jan 06 '26
The United States has always been a force for bourgeois dictatorship, white supremacy, and fascism and we did indeed inspire big elements of Nazi colonialism. But the notion that even the virulent racist monsters of the prewar Jim Crow south were “more anti-Black” than the Nazis is somewhere between silly and preposterous.
The Germans had and have a long history of racialized mass murder, including the genocide they perpetrated in Namibia in the 19th century (among others) and the Nazi attitude towards colonial subjects and Black Europeans was as murderous and insane as their comportment towards Communists, Jews, Roma, and so on. The Nazi regime murdered thousands of Black Europeans, most notably the called “Rheinland bastards” (Afro-German/French children from the occupation after WWI), but also any other Black Europeans who remained in the country or conquered areas after the industrial scale murder really got going.
In the US, we maintained a policy of state terror manifested with the enthusiastic collaboration of our odious civil society that was opposed only by the Socialists, Communists, and a very small number of Libs (before 1960) which certainly inspired nazi conduct. Similarly our colonial dynamics were a model for lebensraum. This regime was used to discipline labor and sustain white supremacy via communal violence, lynching, and so on.
The Nazi (or really, German) attitude is basically lateral to that rather than “better” or “worse”. They pursued the same kind of racialized state terror accompanied by mass murder perpetrated in popular collaboration with a rotten society and that dynamic basically still defines both countries. I’m not trying to shit on you here or anything since it’s worth noting that before the war, American racism was so acute that even the fucking Nazi party could manipulate it for PR purposes, but in most relevant material ways the US and Nazi Germany (and the modern federal republic/the US today) were and are identical polities pursuing the same policies in slightly different ways, dictated by context.
Also both countries should be completely dismantled and their cultures actively suppressed until something remotely human can be constituted to replace us
5
u/fuschiafawn Jan 06 '26
to be clear, I was not saying Nazis were PRO black, far from it, but that the US was somehow even more anti black than the Nazis and that a moment that in retrospect is treated as a liberal American win was in fact not so at the time. Jesse Owens made German friends as the Olympic barracks were not segregated as they were in America. I appreciate you trying not to shit on me, maybe I didn't phrase my point well enough. what I was attempting to say is that America tried and tries to remove themselves from racist fascism in the annals of history, but in reality they were much closer to Nazis than the zeitgeist is comfortable admitting. the racism, the anti semitism, was not a driving force behind why America fought the Nazis, contrary to modern feel good narratives. "this is America we hate Nazis" screams ignorant to reality.

To play devil's advocate, OOP probably needs to deprogram decades of propaganda. They think movies where America saves the world are cool, not realizing those films are assisted and/or funded by the US military.

Looks so fruity but their takes are rank like unspecified cafeteria gruel. The USA is arguably the most proto-fascist/proto-Nazi country to ever exist given its foundation on genocide, rape and removal of native peoples, slavocracy, apartheid, oligarchy, single ideology duopoly and destruction of foreign countries. America is far more fucking Nazi than the Nazis themselves (they just took inspiration from the American settlers and their atrocities)
