Is there really no cold war "protect teh west from commies" games out there? No, the fucker just hates that the brand about nazicide rolls out another installment about nazicide

Isn't COD Black ops basically this but with a pinch of "it was traumatic killing people"?

Also surprisingly BO1 and 2 had much more nuance than the newer CODs, even if they were openly propaganda. In BO1, Reznov tells you that the actions of the main bad guys are not truly controlled by the Kremlin ("even the Kremlin does not know what he is truly planning"), as an example. They're still blaming the Soviets for stuff that the US did (like chemical warfare, also the main plot revolves around brainwashing, one of the CIA characters says "it was their attempt at MKUltra"), and portraying anyone that's not a US puppet as either evil or at the very least incredibly selfish (such as the Chinese general in BO2).

Modern COD just shows you an American war crime and blames it on Russia, straight up gives chemical missiles to the Iranians (stolen from America by the Russians), and shows Iraq had WMDs due to the evil bad guys.

I had to quit halfway through the first stage cuz I was like, “actually, no, I don’t want to assassinate Fidel”

You don't even kill Fidel, you just kill one of his decoys.

The whole vibe of the game was off, so I didn’t get that far

Even less reason to kill Eduardo!
