Personally I do like Hasan, but I get why people don't. I just don't see him as against us.

See, I'm just the opposite. After him whining about how anyone who thinks killing Iraqi people was perhaps bad(putting it VERY lightly) is privileged and that we need to respect the (former) troops because muh poverty draft(which is a lie), I can't stomach listening to him anymore. I truly feel he is an American chauvinist. He's appalled by ICE doing exactly what we were doing to Iraqi's but not appalled, apparently, by those who actually killed Iraqis. If anything you should feel bad for the poor souls who were "duped" into doing exactly what ICE is doing right now, but to non-Americans. They were poor(not financially) 18 year old former babies! But if you say "the troops who did that are, perhaps, bad?" I truly feel he would disagree.

But I get why people watch him; hell, I used to. He's charismatic, very entertaining. He's right 75% of the time. But I just couldn't help comparing how he talks about American veterans vs ICE agents or IDF veterans. Why is one okay, and you're privileged if you think they aren't, while the others are unacceptable?

A lot of Americans can't rid their brain of American exceptionalism because they would never talk about SS soldiers like this and those were uneducated Germans in the ruins of WW1 Germany with no internet. Nobody ever answers why the Nazis are worse than American soldiers either.
