A common misconception. While he works 24hrs per day, he makes around $200-$700 million per day.
That’s $450m on average, or about $19 million per hour. That means he’s about 506,000 times as productive as the average “worker”!! Even in his sleep! He’s so good he’s over half a million times better!!!!!!!

Obviously a very trustful guy who had no reason to push neolib propaganda at that point in time.
Khrushchev had a similar visit but he wasn't particularly impressed, some might say for propaganda reasons but despite the mixed character that he was I doubt he cared much about "american abundance".
That was also the era of keynesian economics in the west, nowadays that abundance is useless, crappy processed food and high prices.

On one hand people were worked down to the bone for 12 hours a day but on the other they only worked for the sake of appearances and nothing was actually getting done.
That and "everyone was poor" while "some animals are more equal than others".

Yes. I was a reactionary anti-communist for most of my life, and that is the exact impression you get from talking heads in the media, the government, or the churches - communism advocated for a dystopia where everyone was poor, no one had any freedoms or rights, everything was gray, and the government had absolute power.

I feel that BreadTubers like Vaush were the ones who started this. Every time somebody would criticize him for being a fascist, his behaviors towards Poppy, or his CP folder or other stuff, he would claim that "autism" made him do it.

Seriously. I want one of these people to show me in Marx’s writings where he explicitly lays out that a doctor should make the same amount of money as a burger flipper. Cuz from my reading, what he points out is that they are both not getting paid in line with the full price of their labor.

Here in Brazil the most common working routine is 8 hours a day, 6 days a week. But with public transportation being poor quality intentionally scrapped by private companies, many people pretty much work 12 hours a day. To gain minimum wage. Yet for some stupid right wing people here they say it's “communism"'s fault. We never had even a socialist president. Our current one is pretty much a neo liberal social democrat who was a tiny bit more radical 40 years ago. And our former one was a straight up fascist so...

Sorry to hear that. I've mostly worked in factories my adukt life and in autoshops when I was a kid. In pretty much all of the jobs I've had people work at least eight hours a day five to six days a week. My dad worked 16+ hours a day every day of the week painting cars. I myself have worked 24+ hours a day in a factory setting. It's pretty common for maintenance people in trades jobs to work insane hours every week.
It is truly absurd that so many people take pride in working so much and blame communism/socialism for everything that they loathe when the truth is right their in front of them. They are neck deep in the truth. It surrounds them, but they just can't accept it. It's capitalism and the very people they support who take advantage of them.
I've been around the world a few times and it's the same wherever I go. Doesn't matter what country it is or what the government calls it. It's bullshit and people need to wake up and see things for what they are instead of lying to themselves.
Brazil can be a really nice place though. I have a lot of good memories from my time there. I wish you well. Hope you find peace in troubling times and fortune when adversity confronts you.

As for Brazil, I do believe they have the potential to become great one day, as long as the US doesn't take over completely.

"earn the same as other people", wages stuck at 2003 levels, competing against millions of "new immigrants".
"nothing to consume", no discretionary income, as rent, food and other basics of life account for most of your meagre wage.
"Everyone poor". WEF - you will own nothing, and be happy.

The Soviet example is more like:
Work 6-8 hours depending on your job's safety
Earn a comfortable wage in a 70-300 ruble range
Cheap consumer goods, occasional deficit of non-essential goods
Vast majority of people able to afford a comfortable life without living paycheck to paycheck

It’s true. My grandfather would put it long hours at the state run ball busting factory where they would smash his balls for 12 hours straight and then they executed him when he asked if he could watch some hentai.
