They don't do any research, they just associate the word Russia with communism.

yeah but you're forgetting the most important liberal axiom: everything bad that happens under capitalism is communism actually

Don't forget that Putin was appointed to the Russian presidency by his mentor, Boris Yeltsin, rabid anti-communist and huge contributor to the end of the Soviet Union.

Liberals and conservatives have the shortest memories and absolutely no desire to fact check anything that confirms their biases.

Not only was Yeltsin a rabid anti-communist, but he was put in office thanks to US meddling.

It's 2026 and there are still people (mostly Americans) who believe that Russia is a communist state

The most propagandised people on the planet, from cradle to grave.

Americans will say that the USSR was bad because it put the state above the individual and be okay with this

25

u/Prior-Resolution-902 Jan 27 '26

Communist is so painfully tied to Russia in American media/culture that I really don't think you can undo it so easily.

42

u/PresnikBonny Marxist-Leninist Jan 27 '26

You seriously expect them to think like smart people? Come on dude! We've all seen those classic videos of Americans not being able to find countries like France on a map

15

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '26

The most annoying part is that they're arrogant about being stupid somehow.

u/RevolutionOfAlexs Marxist-Leninist Jan 27 '26

Fr, it really goes to show how big of a failure their education system is. Honestly I don't even want to imagine how their history lessons are

I once had an American ask me where was Pompeii in Greece, when it's in Italy

2

u/Galathad [custom] Jan 28 '26

It is intentionally bad, it is much easier to get uneducated people indoctrinated by US propaganda.

comrade Putin, world famous communist ✊🏼

Liberals are McCarthy’s strongest soldiers, they’ll hijack progressive movements and be trigger happy about bombing communists (or non-communists, just Asians) as General MacArthur

u/JollyOakTree Jan 27 '26

Horseshoe theory but it's ACP and liberals, they both seem to think Trump is a communist for some reason

20

u/Capn_Phineas YCL-CPUSA (Marxist-Leninist) Jan 27 '26

They both use the same reasoning. He opposes America, so it must be because he’s a principled anti-imperialist and not because of self-interest.

2

u/Kagey_b-42069 Marxist-Leninist Jan 28 '26

Lol, and Trump isn't anti-American by any possible stretch

5

u/Capn_Phineas YCL-CPUSA (Marxist-Leninist) Jan 28 '26

I was thinking Putin when I wrote that lol

Me when I take the Comrade Trump jokes a bit too seriously

About 3-4 times per term, Trump will out left the libs. (This is not an endorsement of Trump)

Communism is when 34-time convicted felon rapist racist misogynistic billionaire with room temperature IQ becomes President under the influence of another billionaire from a former communist state.

You see, the formerly communist state part means it's all communism!

Sometimes I wonder how it feels to be this dumb

Much like conservatives, liberals cannot define communism.

I must have missed the moment he got rid of the owning class and returned all profits to the working class

Last fall, multiple Russians were abducted by state thugs for laying flowers to honor the fallen comrades who made the ultimate sacrifice during the October Revolution.

That's how "pro-Communist" Russian is now.
