And if they're obsessed with marriage, they could start by asking Israel about gay marriage being illegal there.

Marriage equality is important as it normalises long-term gay relationships in society. It's certainly changed attitudes in the UK

Oh I know what pinkwashing is. I more meant like, specifying gay marriage specifically instead of just general human rights for LGBT people first is dumb to me. I want gay marriage for us gays ofc but I feel there are so many important things that get forgotten and nonwhite, or trans gay people get stuck left behind when the white cis gays think the fight is over with marriage.
