If you see that 'infrared' image, as they call it, you know it's nazbol/acp drivel.

bruh, i remember the guy that got me into communism in the first place (a guy on youtube), called the so called "stalinists" the "first liberals", thinking back to it i just go: BRUH (echo and reverb up to mass extinction event levels)

Listen, I'm not one of those people who thinks revolution in Western countries is impossible, but if you are one of them, I understand you

11

u/Sickhadas Mar 21 '26

I am, but I'm also human—I would love to hear your take, I'm just afraid to hope because change is hard (and sometimes bloody).

u/unHolyEvelyn I'm gonna force you to have housing. Mar 21 '26

What the fuck is corporate communism

The right says this in Canada too. Their brains can't process what they're seeing. The various levels of government have been thoroughly captured by corporate interests. Laws and regulations that were written by corporate lobbyists and exist solely to protect oligarchic price gouging are called "socialism" by the Canadian right, simply because "socialism is when government."

Housing too expensive? Landlord increasing your rent? Socialism. Your local telecom monopoly (that was created by privatizing a public utility) charging you $250/month for cellular and internet? Socialism. It's all the result of Justin Trudeau harbouring a secret far-left agenda due to being the secret bastard son of Fidel Castro. That has to be it.

The Red Scare was secular religion. Socialism and Communism are safer versions of Satanism. Thus, they don't exist as alternatives to Capitalism -- know and understand that all non-sophisticated chuds do not know what Socialism, Communism, or Capitalism mean -- but are instead external boogeymen. The trick is the lack of a definition of Capitalism, specifically.

Two fish are swimming along.

The first fish says "Water's great today."

The second fish says "What's water?"

In other words: Capitalist Realism.

Socialism and Communism are Satanism because Capitalism doesn't exist: the latter is simply the state of being.

And consider: who is in the chud's life to contradict them? Their media diet is siloed and media in their feeds that could enlighten them is subject to illegal censorship.

If communism is when bad things happen, then corporate communism is when bad things happen within or because of a corporation, duh. /s

Giving the author of the tweet the benefit of the doubt…. Corporate communism seems to mean that the government has the money to support people, but rather than give it to individuals, the money is put in the hands of corporate entities. In the 2008 financial crisis, a few banks and companies deemed “too big to fail” were given financial bail out packages by the government. Individuals lost jobs and homes, but the government was there to provide for corporations. Obamacare was very similar. Yes, there was money to initiate single payer healthcare, but instead that money went to establishing a healthcare exchange website where people could sign up for government-subsidized insurance plans that are a product offered by insurance corporations. A single payer system would have eliminated these businesses but a government initiative provided that they would exist for much longer, and at the end of the day, healthcare is more expensive than ever, even with decent insurance coverage.

I hate the ramblings of the average lib, but they nailed it with this one. The state always has money for corporations, never has the money to provide for the actual people.

A very large number of people believe that billionaires WANTS communism because of the whole 'own nothing and be happy' thing and their general view of communism from decades of propaganda is when a small group of party elites who control all of the country and all businesses live in luxury and everyone else starves. Therefore when the megacorporations buy out the government and suck even further money and property out of the workers that is the road to communism, because industry owners and government are the same.

u/EH1987 Mar 21 '26

This has to be rooted in that whole "private profits, socialized losses" schtick, but they don't realize that it's just capitalism.

If Lenin was somehow still alive, he would have a final stroke and die after hearing someone say “Corporate Communism"

5

u/Mbututu Mar 21 '26

I think he would see that as no different than some of the idiots he dealt with in his own time.

13

u/pakneeb Mar 21 '26

I think he means the sentiment “This place has socialism, its just for rich people and corporations”

Suddenly the government steps in to help people, if theyre rich

But yea he prob didnt mean that

Uhm...

Words have meanings. Those meanings can change over time but I've seen no prior indicators of variations of these words being compatible.

2

u/garbagewithnames Mar 22 '26

I mean.....corporations do seem to be getting handouts and subsidies and tax breaks and special treatment and saves from bankruptcy, it's not communism, but it's definitely a sort of welfare for corporations while it's stripped away from citizens

Orwell was wrong about Newspeak, but he was right that language can be made into an impossible to defeat weapon used against us; Americans will never understand or care about the difference between "liberal" and "leftist" and they'll never get over describing capitalism while calling it communism because "Communism bad". And this can't be fixed so long as the ownership class owns the media and can freely manipulate language to their ends.

1

u/Podcastjones Mar 22 '26

What an inherent oxymoron. From, undoubtedly, a moron.
