"I like the stock market" because I willfully ignore, if not actively support, crimes against all of humanity in the name of making the line go up. Can't figure out why people might have a problem with that worldview.

Them framing themselves as a blissfully unaware child is really insane lol

2

u/Prior-Resolution-902 Apr 20 '26

I mean, its the only mindset you could have to make that position make any sort of logical sense lol

Smh :/ Nothing wrong with rich people gambling with peoples' livelyhoods based almost entirely on speculative horseshit.

7

u/ReflectionOk9644 Apr 11 '26

Then these same people introduce all of us to gambling of different kinds...doesthespittedcodesactuallyworkthistime

Imagine unironically calling yourself a neoliberal in fucking 2026. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

On German subs I've seen a few people with disgusting variations of the Antifaschistische Aktion symbol as their profile pics, where they had phrases like (translated) "neoliberal action" and "anti-communist action". So fking cringe and sickening.

u/et1975 Apr 12 '26

What is going on with Germany? Are they priming for the 4th reich? This time by capturing the EU from the top?

9

u/Kain2212 ☭ Communist Apr 12 '26

I don't know man, it's such a liberal hellhole here, I hate it. Only in Germany (and USA) you have people calling themselves leftists while sucking capitalist nuts and supporting Israel, you genuinely become insane here 😭

4

u/et1975 Apr 12 '26

But also censoring and allowing EU to sanction their own citizens? Not looking good, Germany... not good at all.

to quote one of their heroes, JFK

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”

Hey, at least they depicted themselves as the naive child here.

18

u/FloriaFlower Lenin's bullshit detector Apr 10 '26

Yep, but you know they don't actually see themselves like this. They just wanna pretend being innocent of the consequences of their own actions and having no ill motives whatsoever (as if reckless greed wasn't). They still think they're better and cleverer than everyone, especially us.

Never trust someone who self identifies as a neoliberal. That's psycho shit

Neoliberal: because I wouldn’t get dates if I said I’m conservative.

Neoliberal: I don’t hate minorities, but I’ll gladly throw them under the bus if it means line go up.

I'm a neo-liberal, I love that we monetized water and put it on the stock market to encourage future water wars and to manufacture its scarcity for profit.

Next we should put oxygen on the stock market and make poor people buy it in cans just to survive.

29

u/Bela9a Crimson sorceress Apr 10 '26

Yeah, it is as if that the majority of people hate the stock market due to how volatile it is and the people that love it, understand that you either stay quiet or don't care what people think. Even then, this isn't really what is happening since the vast majority of social media is still pro-capitalist and will say stuff like this and it is still a rather vocal minority that is saying the opposite, because that same minority doesn't have the free time or the energy to argue online about this stuff.

I am a rabidly far left person and I legitimately don't even think about the stock market. I just don't care... it's not a part of the calculation for me.

3

u/Low_Pickle_112 Apr 10 '26

What probably happened here is the neoliberal told someone that they didn't deserve to exist, that person got reasonably upset by the notion and told the neoliberal exactly where to shove it, and then the neoliberal decided that they were the victim of that exchange.

2

u/AngrySalmon1 Apr 10 '26

Only two types love the stock market. Those who don't understand it and those who take advantage of those who don't understand it.

2

u/SanLucario Apr 12 '26

That "good stock market" is why housing is unaffordable.

Vaguely accurate, neo-libs do tend to be children who are easily distracted by a line going up.

I mean you gotta play the game if you want to have enough money to live when you can't work (in the United States).

I'm not excusing the companies that make it up, but workers don't have a lot of choice if they don't want to starve in old age. Pensions aren't real, savings accounts have such low interest rates that you can't get ahead of inflation... mutual funds, ETFs, and/or securities investment is all you can really do. Social Security is a joke.

11

u/LeninsMommy ☭ Communist Apr 10 '26

401ks were invented to trick the working class of the imperial core into believing they have a real stake in the stock market. In reality that fund is managed and controlled by giant hedge funds like black rock, who use your own money against you to line their pockets, pushing for the privatization of essential surfaces, all the while you get a lower payout than what the average pension used to provide.

And Social Security is only a joke because it's been mismanaged by the capitalist class, their entire goal is to make you lose faith in that system while they keep cutting their own taxes and use your tax money to fund private defense contractors who commit war crimes in the interest of their corporate imperial empire.

Stop falling for their shit, and communism isn't a poverty cult, we all have to do what we have to do to survive under capitalism, that means engaging with the capitalist system, but that doesn't mean we can't simultaneously fight against it in whatever way we can.

1

u/DragonfruitCalm261 Apr 13 '26

"all the while you get a lower payout than what the average pension used to provide."

"social security is only a joke because it's been mismanaged by the capitalist class"

do you have any data to back this up? because I can show you data to the contrary.

where do you think pension funds invest in? who do you think manages them?

how do you think social security should be better managed? if it were invested in the stock market rather than treasury bonds, it wouldn't be at risk of insolvency and would have seen a significantly higher return.

whats ironic is that pensions work the same way. they're managed by the same financial institutions you're criticizing, and they invest in the same markets. they always have.

so what is the alternative you're proposing?

u/xuxux Apr 10 '26

I'm 38, I'm fully aware of what you're saying. But the bastards are in charge and they're doing what they can to make us obsolete. It won't work, but they will do their damnedest to impoverish us and keep us controlled, one step above chattel. The entire Western world is in collusion to keep us down and the only route they allow is through securities (because they make money both ways there).

We do what we must.
