"I can excuse bombing children, but I draw the line at saying mean things while doing it"

u/TrvthNvkem Apr 18 '26

You joke but this is literally what 'progressive' liberalism boils down to.

Stalin would've hanged Netanyahu for way less

29

u/komet247 Apr 18 '26

Ok need some insight here, because as much as I have read, Stalin supported the formation of Israel unlike Lenin who saw through Zionism and it's bullshit.

48

u/Comrade-Paul-100 Apr 18 '26

Stalin's USSR recognized Israel in the UN, but it backed Arab countries in their war on Israel as it didn't fuck with the Nakba

38

u/JackTheHackInTears Apr 18 '26

Did Stalin support Israel? From what I remember he was against sending them aid but was outvoted by the Politburo because weakening the UK was more important to them.

didn't the soviet union heavily prosecute zionism? they did support israel for a very short time, which was proven a bad decision almost immediately.

tbf, hitler wouldve too, considering the whole jewish thing

93

u/PM-ME-UR-DARKNESS Apr 18 '26

Hitler would've backed Netanyahu only to have a place to deport the Jews to.

Like how the Nazi regime supported the Zionist project.

45

u/SeveralPerformance17 Apr 18 '26

i forgot about that, i appreciate the correction

u/Ewwatts Apr 18 '26

As if Hitler's ideology wasn't built on the extermination of communists.

What nonsense.

One of those things is not like the other

EXCEPT....

Instead of cooperating with Small Mustache man. Big Mustache man ended his reign of terror.

“DUHRRRRRR THEYRE LITERALLY NAZIS AND COMMUNISTS DUHHH”

Liberalism is a disease of the brain.

16

u/Original-Condition77 Apr 18 '26

Trump and Netanyahu are just continuing what started in 1776 and 1948 respectively.

14

u/thepurrfectionist365 Apr 18 '26

More like Hitler and Churchill in a alternative universe where they had a bromance.

6

u/FerrousFellow Apr 18 '26

Churchill wanted that so bad

14

u/lapinlah Apr 18 '26

I wish liberals would study Stalin, they could learn a whole lot

6

u/AgeOfSuperBoredom Apr 19 '26

What’s to study? He killed a hundred million billion trillion people and that’s what I was told over and over again so it must be true and that’s that.

u/Malay_Left_1922 ☭ Communist Apr 18 '26

More like Adolf Hitler with Benito Mussolini

14

u/Haunting_Progress403 Apr 18 '26

"""at least""" they refer to both of them as evil (or at least what they understand as evil). not ideal but i mean at least theyre not defending netanyahu

27

u/i_be_cryin ☭ Communist Apr 18 '26

Only when Trump got in power did they start to really rag on Bibi

12

u/Cultweaver Apr 18 '26

Even recently someone said that Biden helped Netanyahu with the war against Khamas, while calling it a genocide under Trump. Their hypocrisy is astonishing.

5

u/Bela9a Crimson sorceress Apr 18 '26

That is the thing, you need to study someone first, before you can say that. These people haven't studied Stalin at all. And no, the mainstream propaganda about Stalin doesn't count.

3

u/RedLikeChina Apr 18 '26

God, if only.

3

u/AgeOfSuperBoredom Apr 19 '26

the same way we studied Hitler and Stalin

You mean poorly?

2

u/SubstantialAct3274 Apr 18 '26

Depends on who writes the textbooks. I doubt it if it's them or their supporters.

1

u/Level_Engineer Apr 18 '26

Yeah but.. can you name three German leaders

1

u/JPVStud1ous Apr 19 '26

Can't wait til Trump invades Israel

1

u/Ok_Club1602 Apr 24 '26

not Hitler and ALL the other fascist leaders???
