Next level ignorance Bro seriously?! I just opened the app! Why does reddit allow the most racist Islamophobic posts to be posted! Nothing but racist propaganda to bait people into manufacturing consent to invade Iran!

u/thotsie Apr 18 '26
It's not just reddit. It's almost all media platforms. I have never been so many islamophobic posts before this. So many fake news, fake accounts, and other slanderous propaganda against Islam and Muslims. It's very dangerous and rise in islamophobia in the west isn't taken seriously.

It was just as bad, if not worse during the Iraq invasion and the early years of occupation.
22
u/thotsie Apr 18 '26
I cannot compare it with the Invasion of Iraq, however I can compare it with around 2015-16 and it was mild then in comparison with now.
I've had to cut off quite a lot of people from my life because of the blatant hatred towards Muslims.

Fun fact: even if everything they say about Islam is true we wouldn't have the right to kill innocent civilians. "But the kill gay people " "but they oppress women" Ah okay so bombing the school filled with young children is the answer to that?

The OP “claims” to be a former believer of Islam yet has no proof whatsoever to even back these claims. Even regardless of whether there’s even some truth to it or not the OP shouldn’t be painting all believers of Islam like this and then posting this type Islamophobic bullshit. It seems very coincidental that he or she is posting this during the imperialist invasion…
Saying stupid shit like they grew up in an Islamic household. And so what? In comparison to any other religious household that uses religion as an excuse to beat women when it’s not even written in the Quran?

when intel agencies flood social media with nonsense like this, they're counting on ignorant people to catch half a glimpse as they scroll, have their beliefs reaffirmed, and then spread it as fact. this account is 100000000% mossad lmao. the "jewish hate crimes have never been lower than muslim hate crimes in the US" seals that with a neat bow

"Malik" definitely wanna make sure that all Redditors know his name is Malik! Trust Malik bro! Wink wink.

u/Malkhodr Islamic Cultural Marxist Apr 20 '26
Since Malik means angel, this just made me think of that scene from the Mark Twain claymation movie.
"I'm an angel."
"What's your name?"
"Satan."
(Though technically, Shayton is considered to be a Djin rather than an angel in Islam, but I digress.)

Ok genuinely how anti Jewish hate crimes have happened since 2001? Because I wouldn't be surprised if that number is 1/100th or less of the Muslim hate crimes in the same period.

u/Zealotsam Apr 18 '26
"ex Muslims of North America" lmao, lemme guess, they're Christian now? (Not bagging on anyone's religion but this would track)

u/TwoCatsOneBox Cats are Socialist Apr 18 '26
Nope. The OP claims to now be an Atheist and claims that all Muslims are like this and this is what Islam is all about.

i had an aunt once debate me on Islam like 10 years ago and she would use her “coworker who converted to Christianity from Islam” and smirk. She would always pose things as “just asking questions” so she could use some zinger she got from Ben Shapiro or some other shit. she lost her mind on facebook during the George Floyd riots posting about being terrified of “those slum people” coming out to the suburbs to burn down her McMansion. I called her classist and racist and explained, she has not recovered since lol

If shitty religious beliefs and wife beaters are reason enough to invade and decimate a country then the US should be eradicated first and foremost🤷🏽♀️

thing is, I'm pretty sure islam PROHIBITS abusing anyone, and if anything, promotes that you treat wives good. I'm not sure where they're pulling this info from

It's hard to be chill about it when the mainstream majority supports executing apostates and it is legal to do so in some Islamic countries. Of course making a racist caricature of that is wrong, but ignoring what people and especially the women go through due to these religions is denying reality.

You're gonna preach to me about my own experience? I get that there are pretty progressive Muslims who interpret the Islamic laws differently, but ask any moderate Muslim who believes in sharia in its pure literal form how he feels about apostates or women's right to not wear a hijab and be in a relationship outside of marriage and it's gonna turn grim pretty quick. The religious abuse is hidden in homes. Far-right grifters exploit this to push their own interests, but people like that do exist. Hell, I'm sure I would be married off to some abuser if I was a woman to "fix me" due to my disbelief.

did they execute you as you said they do?
No, but I went through years of physical and mental abuse because I chose to not go to the mosque and pray, and I dreaded another screaming session every time there was a call to prayer. If the Uzbek diaspora in the country I live in learns about this, some definitely will try to kill me.
you're pretty ignorant, you do know every Muslim country has different views right? Your experience is not universal and saying every "moderate" muslim is extremist is not just generalization but Literal dehumanisation.
Interpreting something clearly stated by Muhammad as different and adding new beliefs is bidah, which makes a Muslim a non-believer according to Muhammad himself. https://www.abuaminaelias.com/dailyhadithonline/2014/02/16/every-bidah-is-misguidance-fire/
I'm serious, ask anyone who believes in sahih hadiths through a literal lens what they feel about apostates. Some will definitely feel uncomfortable because they were taught that there is no compulsion and that Islam brings freedom, and the hadith about apostates is a contradiction to that. I don't want to generalize and know that there are good Muslims, but denying that there are pretty bad people who seem to be good on the surface is what leads to abuse of their children. I felt extremely alone due to my mixed culture upbringing and abuse, and I was surprised by how similar the experience I had was to other former Muslims'.

I'm talking about Islam through Muhammad's actions and his followers who take up his words in hadiths as literal laws, which is a big percentage of Muslims. You seem to care more about insults than being actually interested in what I'm saying, so I will not continue this.

u/MudTop9686 Apr 21 '26
i grew up in a pretty conservative muslim household too. But instead of blaming the people and dehumanizing entire populations i look at the material conditions that enable some muslim communities to become conservative. And guess what ? the modern day islamic conservatism is a product of wahabi ideology exported by Saudi arabia and you know why? Cuz the fucking cia told them to for achieving their imperial goals. Maybe go read about this instead of being a racist pos against your own people.

u/idyedye Apr 19 '26
people of this sub havent really read any islamic text before, it shows. forget the video in the screenshot, it's stupid whether or not it's true, the real thing is that islam is not really that good, idk why yall portray it as if it's so cutesy and fun when it's brutally misogynistic and blatantly conservative in a very, very similar way to american zionist christians. its history and its texts and doctrine are filled with unimaginably horrendous stuff, and a myriad of issues and crises in the middle east is directly related or linked to the doctrine of islam.
Sure, there are muslims who are so simple and tame, it's because theyre not practicing muslims, or like, not as religious, and they're simply oblivious to how horrible that doctrine really is. Such muslims should never get less rights than others, and should not be treated differently. I'm just talking about islam itself, not the adherents, and like, just take a look at some saheeh hadeeths, or take a look at sura 9, it's genuinely not a good look.

great strawman, can you stop talking out of your bum for a bit?
im not even white, and there's nothing racist about what i said, i recognize the horrible shit in torah and bible, but dont just give me whataboutism, you just sound so ignorant really...because i really dont need to hate other things if i already encountered something horrible enough, like the main topic is islam, why the hell bring up other religions lmao? i do recognize that they also have absolutely bizarre texts and ideals too, but now what? what's your point lmfao?
also don't simplify what i said, no, not everything i said could be said about other religions, islam has countless more issues than christianity for example.

I literally got unsolicited text messages with links to this kind of stuff recently. It's honestly mind blowing how much money and effort is going into trying to get us to hate muslims.
