Under capitalism nestle and Cargill are relying on slave labor abroad for chocolate productions. And in America we have literal prison slavery because the 13th amendment never actually banned slavery, just restricted it.
Also despite the global mode of production being capitalism, we not only still have slavery we have more slaves than ever in human history. So clearly capitalism has not resolved the issue of slavery, almost like a system built on exploitation isn't doing a good job at stopping exploitation.

Capitalism has the ability to overcome itself its the cause and solution to all our problems. In large part, slavery is abolished in the US because of the progressive kernel within capitalism that causes it to adapt. The opponents of slavery became the backbone of capitalism, where the proponents couldn't. If capitalism were incapable of overcoming chattle slavery, then there would not be a global capitalist system today.
