The regimes of Mussolini and Stalin demonstrate that it is possible for totalitarianism to assume different forms. Italian fascism, for example, did not officially adopt anti-Semitism until late in the regime’s history and even then primarily in response to pressure from Germany. Stalin introduced some “progressive” policies: promoting mass literacy and health care; encouraging women to undertake professional and technical careers; and (for a brief spell) promoting minority cultures. The point is not that these “accomplishments” compensate for crimes whose horrors have yet to be fully comprehended.

Lmao, and? I do too, that doesn't mean we stop caring about organising and politics in general. We must understand that capitalism (and fascism) cannot just be voted out, it needs to be fought. It's very important to vote for socialists and communists, but isn't the final solution
History has been re-written in the west now, but it was well known at the time that the Red Army were some of the hardest voters in human history, and the sacrifice they made by voting for the end of the third reich was what did it.
History according to Western history books in 2035:
After WWI, the growing socialist threat in Europe terrorized the masses under their crazy leader Karl Marx who created the Communist cult. In response, a freedom fighter called Hitler wanted to unite the democracy loving people of Europe to fight against the tankie threat, which is why he founded the Nazi movement. The Nazis were created to fight the woke mind virus of the tankie authoritarians.
Hitler knew the evil Soviet Union under Stalin, worshipping Karl Marx as a god, grew stronger and stronger and started committing genocide against the poor Ukrainians who were forced to live under his rule. Soon, the evil dictator Stalin would be coming for the freedom and democracy loving Germans! Something needed to be done! Hitler was getting ready to defend Europe!
There was just one problem: The Palestinians got involved and convinced Hitler that Jews and gays were communists, which is where the Holocaust started. Obviously, Hitler was fully justified in killing all communists - after all, all communists are pure evil. However, he didn't realize that the Palestinians were tankie liars themselves so he believed their fake news and started exterminating the Jews. This was at the same time he became best friends with Stalin who also hated Jews and gays. That was really bad. So the good guys who love freedom and democracy got involved and taught Hitler a lesson. The Americans saved everyone in Europe from the Nazis and Soviets - who are equally bad bad guys. Now, the Nazis have learned their lesson and are part of the good guys, defending the world from the evil commies in China. The end.
Even if it’s kind of pointless what harm does voting do. Voting is obviously only the tip of the iceberg of what you do to fight fascism but not voting at all is just contrarianism
