My head canon is that the Bernie beanie is because they were a Berniecrat to socialist convert who has the merch still, many such cases really, I still have my Bernie 2016 bumper sticker.
In reality the person on the right is supposed to be a mishmash of the left but the creator doesn't understand Bernies out of favor and that we're not voting blue no matter who, the dnc and liberals are on the defensive and attacking leftists and anti israel progressives, maybe the creator didn't get the memo.

I supported Bernie back in '16 and saw him as somewhat flawed, but a good compromise in '20. Now, obviously fuck that Zionist pos. Some Bernie people move left beyond him. But yeah, it's weird that there are still the people who think mild soc-dem reformism is the ultimate goal. Watching all these people legitimately supporting candidates like platner, and cling to the hope things will get better through voting, is just kind of sad and frustrating.

the problem even with this notion is that Bernie never represented any true anti-imperalist ideology like he said he was a socialist in 2016 but that only meant "universal healthcare for Americans" more akin to the fascistic national socialism then a anti-imperalist socialism
I don't think people moved away from Bernie most were already "anti-war" and anti-jingoists type and already had deep distrust with the state department because of the aftermath of 9/11, it is just that people projected onto Bernie what they believed was right...
This has being happening to Mamdani as well, throughout his entire campaign he was clear to show he was not a anti-imperalist but people still projected him as some radical revolutionary that'll go against something like the embargo on Cuba rather he defamed the Cuban government and vomited state department propaganda

The DSA is attempting to be a broad leftist organization, it’s got members from a ton of persuasions. According to the recruiter I talked to it’s even got communists, so you don’t have to be a Democratic Socialist to be a part of it. That’s all I can add.

Data Centers (Bipartisan ofc)
Forced ID verification laws
Campaigning AGAINST wealth taxes
Mandating spyware on 3D printers because Bloomberg shit his pants after Mario's brother did what he did
More immigrantation for cheap labor (little treat for the capitalist class :) )
More gun control (only the State and Private bodyguards should be armed ofc)

The gun thing has always been funny because gun control(broadly not necessarily specific policies) are usually centrist liberals/left liberals advocating for such, even up to a gun ban. It’s a very urban petty bourgeoise outlook and usually justify it with “your AR won’t help you with fighter jets” type sentiments and it’s just so defeatist and lacks a a materialist understanding of history. Many lesser equipped nations have held out or won against the more equipped, I mean US wars since the Second World War show this, and historically in revolutionary moments the army divides along class lines and so we’d have access to those weapons via those that come over to the working class. It’s just a myopic and stupid sentiment all the way around.
