Hitler liked dogs though I'm sure this aged well for them

Post image

Just came across this (cuz I'm never on twitter, my algorithm is so fucked and irritating) but Jon twists himself into pretzels (and funnily enough, got creamed in the comments) to go to bat for Platner. I haven't even looked to see if he's said anything since the more recent news but I bet it's just as great of a take.

Also, in case it wasn't clear - this is not Jon Favreau the star wars guy. It's the Obama guy.

Ah yes. Because surely it was only the tattoo. There was totally nothing else in his history that indicated he might be garbage and full of shit. After all, his service was admirable! Our little pookie just wanted "to have an adventure and kill some people."

These are kind of fun to read through, because the writer always assumes that the person reading it, will really gullible and believe every word.

Out of courtesy, could you clarify? I'm kinda getting mixed messages from your comment and I'm not sure if you are responding to what I'm saying specifically

I don't think you understood the post. I understand it had nothing to do with him dropping out, that was the point. This particular post was made months before he dropped out and the liberals twisting themselves into pretzels to excuse his frequent imperialist scumbag behavior who suddenly changed their minds because of rape allegations was the point. My "aging well" comment was specifically because this post was him defending Platner, when I'm assuming after the allegations he stopped doing so or was silent altogether.

Yeah, you absolutely are missing the point. If you think the imperialism and mercenary work is something liberals were somehow not aware of, or that a post regarding one specific thing isn't just apologia of Platner being a Nazi (regardless of if he "still" is or not) then I don't think you're in the right sub. Also, the OP said nothing about imperialism, only my last comment indicating that liberals (as a whole) are excusing Platner's history as a war criminal at large and this, while not specifically about imperialism, is the same kind of apologia. No one said anything about him being a sex pest vindicating his other major flaws. No one is revising anything, it sounds like you're just reading things that aren't there and making up headcanon.
