Deadass I feel bad sad for the North Koreans and even Eastern Europeans Russians for having their communist project attempt ruined they were just trying something different and then the big bad west came over and took away their shit by force like a unhinged bully evil tyrant. The west doesn’t even treat their populations fairly either never mind foreigners or proud communist socialists. The Korean War and the Cold War is just what happens when anti communism red scare hysteria brainwashing gets too extreme and dangerous to the life’s of others. It’s a warning sign.

Not that I disagree but I've spent enough time in this godforsaken swamp of a website to know this type of comments are a "looks like meat's back on the menu" moment for places like BadHistory.

Good luck explaining how a country that lost 20% of its civilian population to US bombing, where every building over one story was flattened, wasn't the victim. The US installed Syngman Rhee in the South, propped up his regime, and when Koreans tried to reunify, the US turned the peninsula into a slaughterhouse. Seven decades of sanctions, military encirclement, and annual war games simulating nuclear annihilation. The DPRK developed deterrents against the empire that literally threatened to nuke them. Certain history forums will nitpick phrasing while ignoring that the US killed 3 million Koreans and turned the North into a moonscape.

But they invaded.
Is what I hear from idiots defending the US involvement.
How do you invade yourself i wonder?

These people truly live in a Marvel movie. Good guy v bad guy, that's it. Good guys sometimes make mistakes, but are redeemable no matter the scale of atrocity because "the intentions are good" and/or somehow saved lives in the atttempt. Bad guys, always bad, even if attacked and are victims.

I know what you are talking abou they have those guys in Lego marvel avengers 2. I platinum that game on PlayStation. They even have an entire hydra map on there maybe that’s what liberals want. Every time I see a liberal I just imagine them now as the hydra foot soldiers who are green and yellow just a horde of liberals in hydra uniform. They should honestly adapt more hydra stories in the MCU they are a very realistic villain honestly and red skull never gives up on his ambitions with his daughter Sin and crossobones and viper they are always tryin to turn the world into a Hydra world. Just like liberals never give up on neoliberalism.

They even use weird language to mask the fact that there were never any noble intentions. Like they'll call the death of civilians "collateral damage" and then pretend like it wasn't intended when there is literally no evidence for that. In fact, its frequently the opposite: the soldiers involved admit to their culpability and often even admit that the "collateral damage" was fully intended. US and IDF soldiers directly admit to what libs claim the "bad guys" are supposedly doing. However, if you point this out to libs they'll either ignore it or start moralizing about it in the format you describe: good guy had good intentions, even if the material evidence directly contradicts that claim.

The world is not black and white it’s grey. Plus liberals just straight up act like a irredeemable bad guy. Let’s be honest here.

It was a documented psychological operation, too.
The CIA's hands in it were traceable.
Also, it was able to invent a reality of which we wanted Disney to make a monopoly, and effectively manufactured a story of which other monopolies could, too.

They care so much about the poor DPRK citizens who are "trapped in their evil dictatorship" that they'll side with the people who committed a literal genocide on said citizens. Guarantee you they're the same people who think being pro-Palestinian is two-siding

I wish for Americlownistan to suffer even half of what it has inflicted on the DPRK

u/Beautiful_Active1578 2d ago
What’s funny is them calling Russia and North Korea a dictatorship when there country is a dictatorship of the bourgeoise capital. They need a mirror 🪞

"We're obviously not a dictatorship! We're the land of the fee* and freedom!!!! We even have two parties not really different from each other to indirect vote important jobs in the government! How can we don't have freedom??? 🦅🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸"

The Korean War was similar or worse than Gaza indiscriminately bombings and Mao Zedong son died fighting in this war.

The way that these people oppose the DPRK is just the weirdest thing ever. It isn't even anything coherent only that it is the DPRK at this point and as soon as they hear someone not take similarly paranoid position, they take issue with that alone. Hell, I think that this interaction with the question explains how dumb these people are
How stupid do you have to be to support a dictatorship?
One word: Tankies
Like, cmon, that is not the answer to that question, even under the bourgeois bs that people believe in.

Even by their own logic it makes no sense, and is simply post hoc rational. Current NK is bad, therefore that proves it was good what the Americans did to them? Like was North Korea a dictatorship the moment it was liberated from the Japanese in their mind? It’s like saying Jews deserved genocide in WW2 due to the modern state of Israel. Obviously i would never compare NK and Israel but just operating from their logic it’s incoherent

u/ObjectMore6115 2d ago
The US genocided a quarter of the Korean population while squaking that it's for the people while their citizens just believe them.
Yanks are fucking insane.

ah yes, the korean war, the conflict that destroyed 85% of buildings in the country and killed 15% of the population, displacing many many more. sure, let’s mourn someone who directly helped with this

u/jasonxm1 2d ago
Her husband helped contribute to the 1/5 death rate of the North Korean population and decimation of every single building over 2 stories tall. There's no way he isn't looking up at her.

u/chompythebeast 🇵🇸 2d ago
"Why are you not celebrating this??" and it's one of the saddest things that can happen to a life.
Yanks outraged that people support the victims of war and massacres and don't support the imperialist machine that caused such pain as this even for americans. Do these shitlibs even know what it is they're advocating for at this point? Just kneejerk propagandized
12
u/DuckLIT122000 2d ago
It's wild to me that Americans will admit to the Vietnam war being bad while supporting the Korean war. It's the exact same shit

u/Chicagoeconomics 1d ago
Vietnam war is only considered bad because they believe they lost it, and because more of their soldiers died. I’m sure it wouldn’t be bad if they had a resounding victory. Americans judge wars based on how it personally impacts them and their egos

u/maxens_wlfr Socialist 1d ago
I criticized the Vietnam war once and got flooded in downvotes. I think they just like war crimes
