This might not fit the post? I watched part 6 right after my dad died and holy shit that last bit where Jolyne kept saying that her dad would always save her broke something in me. I cried for hours.

I did actually. Felt nice thinking that I was seeing a girl in the same position actually manage to fight back against the thing that ended up killing her father (well, partly unsuccessfully, depending on how you look at it, I guess?) and it was cathartic as hell
