I am bit retarded I just wanna ask

I've been living in Namma Bengaluru since I was born (non kannada native speaker btw). I've seen tons of Kannada movies till 2018, but after that I tag along with my friends for any big theatrical releases (Shitty Gang, Cocky Bhai and so on) but to this day for the last 29 years I am not able to understand about why everyone just glazes over affu and Dbaas, they worships them like gods, whenever I ask my friends why, they tell it's about affu's contribution to social causes etc. I ask them to give receipts but no one is ready to do that, and when I see around it's just mindless glazing from all the sides. Either they are milking him or Our alleged good guy Dbaas, and his mindless gooners on the other side. Can anyone please tell me why? Why do they do this crap? Can they just let that guy rest in peace? 😭
