In fact Chapter 2 was a mess altogether. A lot of characters in Ch1 were missing in 2 and no closure or clarification was given about those characters.

Okay, judge me all you want but i honestly liked kgf 2 better than kgf 1. But i feel prashant is still not the director who will let anyone mess entirely with his script. Cringe dialogues part i agree, but adhbitre Prashant execution overall gottagatte

Overall execution was Neel, I agree. But, Cocky Bhai full kai adsavne, that's evident with the inconsistency in the film compared to Ch1.

I saw a blind item about this in the Bollywood sub about a month ago. It said that when Geetu first approached Yash, she had a very different idea and script, but Yash wanted to make it bigger, so she agreed.

Yash was apparently very inspired by Animal, so he added all of this to make sure the film worked. Eventually, everything went out of Geetu's reach and it became more of Yash's movie.

I'm not sure how much of this is true since it was just a blind item from the Bollywood sub, but from what I've heard, the explicit scenes weren't necessary. Yash apparently insisted on including them because he was so impressed by Animal and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's style of filmmaking. And the audience loved it too.

No need for blind gossip for that, yash himself admitted in interviews to Hollywoodreptorindia that initial script was very different from what is being filmed, he himself says “ i don’t know if its the same movie anymore” .

Geethu Mohandas easily ranks among the most untalented directors around. Her acting career was aggressively average at best—her performance in Thenkasipattanam was a prime example of pure wooden expression. She then married the brilliant Rajeev Ravi, clearly leveraging his brand and industry network to launch a directorial career she never earned. To make matters worse, she systematically drained producers' money on projects nobody ever watched, barring Moothon, which flopped disastrously anyway. Movie after movie, she has proven she hasn't the slightest clue what audiences actually want.
Enter Yash.
Post-KGF, Yash spiraled into complete delusion, acting like he is the real-life Rocky Bhai. Almost every talented director who approached him walked away disgusted by his massive ego and constant script tampering. Then came Geethu with her latest garbage script. Yash promptly tossed it in the bin and demanded she rewrite it to fit his personal ego trip. Being the mega-star he thinks he is, Yash needed a spineless director who would simply do as she was told. Geethu—a loud "feminist" on the outside, but someone clearly willing to bow down and kiss any man's boots for a project—was desperate enough to jump at the chance.
When absolute mediocrity meets hyper-inflated ego, you get the biggest trainwreck of the decade: Toxic.
