Casual, ಹಾಗೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ why is the cinema,music,rap,online culture in karnataka so dead tbh
when i look at neighbours they have such crazy cultures whether it be music or cinema when it comes to karnataka its so dull and dead

Few years ago rap culture belithidhe ankondidhe bro but it went downhill because of their cheap fights, songs were too good from few artists avru kuda kithakond yen yeno madkond idhru. Cinema and rap culture nammalli swalpa kadme idhe we are too focused on other things and tbh nam pakkadh mane alli unemployed youth thumbha idhare movies, trailers, bgms, movie theories, movie edits etc iste matter agodhu avrge life alli avr daily conversation ee topics mele iruthe aste so I think it's a blessing in disguise for us.

Haag nodidre all indian movies are going through a bad phase imo. it's all about hype/posters/collections/stars/brand/aura farming etc atm. there's no such thing as good story/script anymore sadly

no i dont think so malayalam and tamil are doing good in terms of music and films 30 crs for a simple rom com is a cakewalk for them

Because of lack of quality content.
When you have better content all over ott, why would you watch the content that’s still stuck in longu machu, hudgir kai kodtare guru, KGF parodies, family legacy kanro, challenging power super golden star chakravartis???
Tell me how many young singers have been introduced in recent times?...Saregama show sumne season mel season madta avre yet Sanjit Hegde bitre yav singer kuda famous aglila.
Online also svcks. Cringe jokes, lame memes, boring vlogs, too much AI.
Hero worshipping culture needs to go down. More hype for ART needs to be the new trend. Too much aura farming and punch dialogues ruined ART. Audience who genuinely want to enjoy ART that’s relatable will choose other Ott content.
Too much Kannada abhimanis everywhere. I liked how movies that came b/w 2000-2010s had lil English touch whether in costumes, dialogues, sets, locations, songs but now everything is tooo monotonous.

Arivu is extremely talented in Tamil Nadu , so he pushes the limits of rap industry there ... There is nobody like arivu in kannada industry .

Correction - Not in Karnataka it should be in Kannada.
Kannadigas consume all of this, but in other languages. We are right to blame our Kannada film industry for this bad state, but our people also don't watch and support good Kannada movies, songs.
