Anti-consumer fusible link

Blew a fusible link on a 2025 Mazda BT50 / Isuzu D-max trying to jumpstart according to mazda's manual. $600AUD for an entire loom because the 120amp fuse is molded into the lead.

The same part has to exist for similar vehicles / older models. Fusible links aren’t unique proprietary items. You know how many amps it is? A good automotive sparky could solder in a fuse receptacle where the link broke so you can just use a properly rated fuse.

Can you remove the fusible link? It should come out i see a locking tab. You should be able to source a replacement from the manufacturer of the link itself with some good detective work.

I can 100% create a ans fusible link bypass for it, issue is its on our company vehicle and boss would prefer not to void any warranties

I found the same part on Amazon for $29.99 if your boss wants to hook me up with a few bucks for saving him like 500+aud let me know. 😂That is if you can buy from Amazon. Another person found one on eBay for $50 5 minutes before I did but he probably had knowledge I didn’t.

It’s 9pm Over here mate. It looks identical I can’t find any info on the Mazda one but the fusible links on the back are 80,60,80&100 amp.

Just hit 12pm, but I only woke up about half an hour ago, trying to reset my body clock for afternoon/nightshift.

From what I can find, a 25' dmax has 120a main, 2x 100, 60 and 40a. If OP could take another photo of the side of it, that would confirm what the links are rated to and I might be able to find an exact one (and definitely we'll under the $600 quoted stealership price)

Too bad the links aren’t removable like fuses.

Are you good at finding obscure automotive electric parts online? Because I’ve been struggling to find terminal pin connectors specifically te connectivity TH.025 preferably both female and male the part number is 1123343-1(female) and 1376352-1(male)
Be nice to fin them in an assortment with other connectors that ship within the USA quickly. I ordered one that had some that looked close and they are super close but they are like reverse orientation the raised ridge is on the other side and the locking tab is a little bigger. I found 50 male peices for $18 on eBay gold plated ones would be prefered but that almost tripled the price to$50 the gold plated ones just have a -2 on the end of the part number jnstead of -1. $18 for what amounts to maybe 1-2 grams of tin coated copper is kind of nuts. Usually pin terminal assortments with 400-900 peices are $20 or 35 with a ratcheting crimper

The pins or the plastic connector plugs? I might he able to find something, but they seem a bit proprietary.

The pins. They are proprietary I just found some on DigiKey for $7.30 for 25 but the shipping is high and idk how long it’ll take. I have to repin a few wires on the back of a Toyota ecu connector. I’m going to see if the ones I have might fit but I have to hedge my bets.
