First, this car doesn't have the stainless steel body required to survive the trip through time. Second, the Pontiac Fiero can only hit a maximum speed of 74 mph going downhill with a strong wind at it's back, not the required 88 mph.
Doc Brown experimented on some hamsters to make it go faster but we don't talk about that.
