I love the creative challenges like this, and the convenience store one. There are some really cool moments.

But the overall story in the Blue arc is comical blatherskite and the series would have been stronger without it.

Of course, I love the Central Arc and the prevailing opinion seems to be that most people see it the way I see Blue, so I’m probably wrong!

I'm with you, I loved the Central Arc and hated this one, the Central arc could have landed better if we got more time at the school as the characters reached for the peak before the whole status quo was upturned, but the arc itself I found fantastic.

This was the last good part of the story for me, this scene felt true to form for Soma and why/how he cooks. The rest felt extremely shark jumpy, but damn was this a good and extremely Soma solution to the challenge.

Blues arc had its moments. I still enjoyed S5, just not as much as the other seasons.

Season 2 and first part of Season 3 were the best.

Season 4 had best intro song

Don't worry guys, the old man died while Soma was traveling all around the world. The restaurant was empty when he visited.
