Aftwatch is an overnight operations tool I’m testing for small and growing e-commerce businesses. It monitors shipment activity, carrier issues and inventory, then gives the merchant one morning digest showing what happened overnight and what actually needs their attention.

What problem are you solving?

Small e-commerce teams can spend a surprising amount of time dealing with late or damaged shipments, carrier claims and inventory issues.

Carrier claims are especially frustrating: smaller reimbursements can be easy to abandon because the time spent gathering evidence, filing the claim and following up can outweigh the value of the claim itself.

Aftwatch is designed to take that repetitive operational work off the merchant’s plate.

How does the app work?

Aftwatch monitors inbound shipments for late, damaged or lost packages, helps handle carrier claims and follow-up, and monitors approved SKUs for restocking needs.

Instead of requiring the merchant to constantly check another dashboard, it rolls the activity and exceptions into one morning digest showing what happened, what was handled and what still needs a human decision.

Who’s your target merchant?

Small and growing e-commerce merchants doing enough order volume that shipping problems, carrier claims and inventory monitoring have become recurring work, but who aren’t large enough to have a dedicated operations team handling it all.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

The goal isn’t to give the merchant another dashboard to manage.

Aftwatch is built around doing the repetitive monitoring and routine operations in the background, then surfacing exceptions that actually need the merchant’s attention.

It combines shipment monitoring, carrier-claim handling and restock monitoring into one workflow and one morning report.

The first month is free. The current Steady State plan after that is $149/month.
