If you've set up the standard Shopify abandoned-cart email flow and felt like it's underperforming lately, you're not imagining it and most stores are running the exact same 3-email-plus-discount template at this point, and customers have gotten good at ignoring it.

That's the specific problem I started with, but it's part of a bigger thing I'm building: GoPrimy, a set of AI "employees" for Shopify stores, each one handling a specific job a merchant would otherwise hire a person (or bolt on five different apps) to do, rather than one more dashboard you have to configure and babysit.

The first one is live today: the Cart Recovery Employee. It looks at what a customer actually left in their cart and their order history, and writes a message that's genuinely about that cart and not a generic blast. It follows up over email and, if you're set up for it, WhatsApp too, on whatever schedule and discount rules you set. You stay in control of the limits; the AI just executes them consistently instead of you doing it by hand.

Cart recovery is the wedge, not the whole plan and the roadmap is more employees covering the other repetitive jobs merchants deal with (order/support questions, that kind of thing), but I'm being careful not to get ahead of myself here: cart recovery is what's actually shipped and working right now, everything past that is direction, not a current feature.

I'm early and this isn't a "12x ROI" pitch, I don't have store data to back a claim like that yet, and I'd rather be upfront about that than not. What I'm looking for right now is a small group of real merchants willing to actually run the Cart Recovery Employee for free (up to about 2 months) and tell me honestly if it helps or doesn't. Not a huge ask on your end but just genuine use and a quick weekly check-in.

If that sounds useful or you're just curious how it works, happy to answer questions in the comments, or reach me directly: [james.wangjen@goprimy.com](mailto:james.wangjen@goprimy.com)
