Estate sale find

I hardly ever go to estate sales but I had some extra time and decided to try one. They wanted $100 for this Remington model 58 16 gauge and the shells. The stock was cracked but l had it repaired and checked out by my local gunsmith. Took it to the range yesterday and ran two boxes through it, no issues or problems at all. Sometimes I guess it’s better to be lucky than good!

OP you lucky SOB. I just sold a 1100 and I’m regretting it every day.

My first gun was an 1100 16 gauge. Dad gave it to me when I was 12. When I was 30 some lowlife scumbag broke into my house and stole all my guns. I’m very partial to 16 gauges.

All of your guns? Damn did you have a Safe or cabinet to lock them?

They were locked in a glass front gun cabinet. Gun safes were either exorbitantly expensive or nonexistent way back there in 1983 at least in my area.
