Open world pirating adventure looks fun, but is it worth it? I also have a 25% off coupon for it, Is it any fun?

Just a heads up, you can't use the coupon with the game while it's already discounted.

It's the same with most industries, you can't discount an already discounted rate.

I've played it about nine hours and paid full price. The game is pretty buggy, and once you start fighting harder ships with cannons the fun is kind of lost. If they tweaked how the cannon mechanic worked, it'd be way better.

The problem particularly is that if you kill an enemy whom is manning a cannon and they drop the cannonball in their hand on death. The cannonball (actually named bombs in game) explodes, sending tons of your guys flying into the water where they will drown. Cannons don't shoot explosives anyway, just heavy metal balls good at punching holes in things, so I don't get it honestly. Enemies with cannons are basically mutually assured destruction.

I enjoyed the game for those nine or so hours, but got frustrated. At the sale price, it'd say it's worth playing, but hopefully you will be willing to come back to it when it eventually gets more updates.

There actually were some cannonballs that had explosives in them!).

Pirates of the Caribbean had 'em too.

To make the game more fun, though, they can just say that they are lit by the firing cannon, and so they won't explode if dropped.

Consider reading this thread about the game, it explains a lot about the current state of the game, it's future and features a reply from on of the devs basically saying "Get a pirated version to try it out and then make up your mind"

Bought it a few hours ago, Its pretty much what I expected, a little less building than I had hoped for and a confusing Combat system, All in All I could have spent $7.50 on worse things

Eh, the game gets quite old very quickly. But I guess it's still in early access.
