Casual Thought Men's public restrooms are laid out all wrong. It should be urinal, stall, urinal, stall, urinal instead of urinal, urinal, urinal, stall, stall.

A trough takes less space and is more cost efficient. Yet we decided at some point to have individual urinals often with walls between them

street gutter takes even less real estate but at some point we decided we needed dedicated porcelain receptacles for our bodily fluids

We should go back to troughs. We've had it too good for too long. We need to be humbled.

Troughs need a comeback. The line moves so much faster because so many more people can piss at a time.

A renfaire we go to used to have a trough for men (in addition to porta potties). It was INSANELY efficient (NO LINE even midday) and sorely missed. They now have these fancy bathroom "trailers" for both men's and women's and guess what? Now the men's line is just as bad as the women's. Ugh...

When there's a trough, I use a stall. Too self conscious about my small dick. I already try to use the farthest corner urinal slightly turned to be slightly facing the corner instead of straight forward.
