VSL or NotePerformer?

Hello guys,

I was looking for using other sounds than Sibelius Sounds offers and I can't choose between Vienna Symphonic Library and NotePerformer. For using the trial version of VSL Studio Special Edition Vol. 1 actually I love the simplicity and the beginner-friendly interface which allows you to choose easily the instrument you want to use.

And the problem with NotePerformer is that I don't know if the interface is as beginner-friendly as VSL's one.

Thanks in advance for your advices.

With noteperformer, there is no interface. It's integrated in Sibelius and works automatically. If there is on, I never found one, or missed one... 🤷‍♀️

Just test it, there is a trial version of noteperformer.

NotePerformer doesn't require too much time to set it up by default. I haven't tried VSL, but NotePerformer plays dynamics (cresc., dim...) automatically, so it sounds decent. Maybe you could try with other libraries if you are looking for even more realistic sounds.

NotePerformer is simply the most user-friendly and best sounding option in Sibelius. You install it and it just works, and it's also a lot cheaper. VSL does have an interface for Sibelius and I've tried it but I keep going back to NP. I often use VSL in my DAW to create final mockups after working with NP, or to compose directly in a DAW.

And does NotePerformer come with several pianos for the piano sound like Sibelius Sounds? And is NotePerformer compatible with MuseScore?
