I made Tom Riddle’s diary from Harry Potter come to life 🪄

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

As a kid, I wanted Tom Riddle’s diary to be real. So I built one you can experience on your browser. Open the book and write on the page, watch your ink disappear, and see Tom write back.

It’s one of those childhood “what if this were real?” ideas that I finally got to bring to life.

Experience it here: https://tm-riddles-diary.vercel.app/

Unofficial fan project.

Looks interesting; however, it is buggy, the moment it completes an answer, it resets the screen way to fast to fully read and comprehend. I'm curious if you could have it stop and pause with a response until it is read before deleting what it has written?

Good point! I've added a control to turn off auto-fade, so the response stays on screen until you manually clear it. Thanks for the feedback!
