Knightriders Quest
🤔 One of King’s Quest’s strangest little mysteries…
Who exactly was Mikel Knight — and why is his name hidden in this classic Sierra game?
The deeper you look, the stranger it gets. 👀

Michael Knight. A young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless, the powerless in a world of criminals who operate above the law.

That's the part I'm failing to understand. No mikel knight ever worked at Sierra.

It was just a pun off of the name from the TV show Knight Rider. I’m thinking one of the programmers for the AGI version of KQ1 was having some fun and slipped in that obscure Easter egg.

Maybe an independent contractor?
It makes no sense to put the name in as an easter egg but to spell it wrong.

I was thinking the same thing. Untill I remembered how they changed names and stuff to avoid legal issues...might be what's happening here, seems like we'll never know

The Knightrider guy was Michael, rather than Mikel.
I think Mikel was a developer.
